Frequently Asked Questions

Will I experience altitude sickness?

Most visitors experience mild symptoms during the first 24–48 hours. We've built acclimatisation days into the itinerary and your guide carries first-aid supplies.

What is the road condition to Nubra?

Roads are unpaved and occasionally rough. All vehicles are 4WD with experienced mountain drivers.

When is the best season?

June to September (roads open, pleasant temperatures). October has stunning autumn colours but cooler nights.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Limited in Leh town, very limited or none at Nubra and Pangong. A digital detox is part of the experience!

Traveller Reviews

Pangong Lake changed my life. The colour of that water, at that altitude, with that silence — nothing compares.

Hard and beautiful in equal measure. The camel safari in Nubra sand dunes was surreal — like the Sahara at 10,000 feet.
